Tracking domains
CNAME setup, verification, TLS, hostname binding and how Google certification applies to advertiser subdomains.

The certified domain#
Every project tracks on the same fixed hostname, go.whichclick.is, which Hyperse Group Ltd submits to Google's certified click tracker list. Google approves click trackers per hostname, so this domain never changes and no per-project subdomain is generated. Link slugs are globally unique on it (https://go.whichclick.is/c/<slug>).
Custom hostnames (optional)#
You may add a subdomain of the domain that appears in your final URLs (go.yourbrand.com for yourbrand.com). Google lists click trackers per hostname, so a custom hostname must be added to Google's list before it is used in a tracking template; on Growth and Enterprise we file it with our application.

Add the domain in Domains, create both records, then press Verify (or poll list_domains via MCP). Status moves PENDING_DNS → ACTIVE (or SUSPENDED); TLS certificates are issued automatically on first verified request.

Every tracking link belongs to one domain and resolves only on that hostname. Requests for the same slug on another hostname (including the default WhichClick domain) return 404. This prevents a template from silently working on the wrong domain and keeps reporting per domain clean.
Regions#
The edge serves from 300+ locations; the control plane runs in the EU by default. Organizations can request a US region under Settings; the tracking domain does not change.
Removing a domain#
Removing a domain archives its links. Redirects stop immediately (edge cache expires within 60 s). Historical clicks are retained per your retention setting.
Certification of the WhichClick domains#
The shared domains go.whichclick.is and l.whichclick.is are submitted to Google's certified click tracker list each application window (1 September – 30 November). Custom CNAME hostnames are added to the same application; the googleCertified flag on a domain reflects the current list.
